Dry Tortugas National Park is one of the most beautiful coral reefs you will ever see. See what you see when you head to Key West, Florida, home to the largest coral reef system in the world. Visiting the Great Barrier Reef, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the first of its kind in the United States, is on so many bucket lists.
You can fly directly from Miami to Key West or you can extend your trip with a road trip through the Florida Keys. You can only take a short drive to Key West on your own or with a group of friends if you wish, but there is no shortage of hotels and shuttles to pick you up and drop you off at KeyWest all day long, whether you are on the island itself or on neighboring Stock Island. There are many other options, such as a trip to St. John's Island, Florida's second largest island, home to a large number of dolphins.

When you spot a dolphin, the boat takes you to the beach where you can meet the other animals that call the waters of Key West home. Panes of glass on the ground allow visitors to see the 221-mile Coral Trail, which runs parallel from Key Biscayne in Miami to Dry Tortugas in the west of the central west. One of my favorite places in Florida and one of only a handful of cemeteries I know is Key East Cemetery.
The Ernest Hemingway Home is important to me because Hemedway wrote 70% of his books in Key West, Florida. This beautiful Spanish colonial house is one of the most popular tourist attractions throughout the state of Florida and is used to inform Florida vacationers about the life and times of Ernest Hemingway. The house is the best thing to do at Key East Cemetery and is also a top place to enjoy great views of the Key West and the Florida Keys.
Geographically, Key West is the southernmost point of the contiguous United States and is as far from New York City as it is from Miami. It is also one of the most densely populated places in Florida and the southernmost - populated island and populated place in all of Florida.
