There are lots of bars and restaurants lining Duval Street, but if you're in the mood for delectable tacos and stuffed burritos, try Old Town Mexican Cafe

Chili con queso is a great way to start your meal. Other starters include guacamole, calamari cabo and traditional nachos.

You can also share a bucket of beer with your table. Beer specials vary, but I enjoyed 5 Coronas for $12 the night I visited Old Town Mexican.

If you want some privacy, ask for a table closer to the back. But if you want to see what people are doing on Duval, grab a seat close to the street and watch the passersby enjoying their vacations.

The menu includes the usual Mexican dishes such as quesadillas, fajitas, tacos and enchiladas. Old Town also has steak for the carnivore in you, including the cowboy steak (12 ounce New York Strip) and the flank steak chimichurri with rice and beans. You'll also find soups and salads if you aren't in the mood for tacos.

Some dishes are a little more tropical, such as the lime cilantro shrimp, carne adovoda (pork simmered in red chili sauce), dolphin enchiladas, salmon tacos, tropical cheese quesadillas with mango ice cream or key lime pie for dessert. You can also finish your meal with fried ice cream or chocolate flan.

Seafood specials range from $14 to $20, burritos are $12 to $15, main courses are $12 to $20, and dessert is about $5.

Service is friendly at this Mexican restaurant, and there's no hurry to leave. You can stay to drink beer and chat until you're satisfied. Old Town Mexican Cafe is open for lunch and dinner.
